Professor Bob Peckitt

Professor Bob Peckitt is a consultant forensic psychiatrist and forensic physician, with over 30 years of experience in complex patient care in both the NHS and the medico-legal arena. He is a NPIA accredited expert in his field and undertakes work for the CPS in complex homicide, rape and other serious offences. He has worked extensively at all levels of forensic hospital security, and in prisons, approved premises and other settings.
He was appointed Visiting Professor of Forensic Psychiatry to the University of Lincoln in the mid 2000’s whilst working at Rampton High Secure Hospital.
Bob has lectured and taught extensively in respect of risk, personality disorder and crime.
He is currently Medical Director of East Anglian Forensic Service Ltd and appears for both the Crown and Defence, in a variety of complex and contentious matters, where mental disorder, risk, and offending behaviour are being considered and is considered an expert in areas of homicide, diminished responsibility and manslaughter, personality disorder and related offending.Secretary General of the European Union of General Practitioners. 1982 – 1988
