Professor Taj Nathan is a senior consultant forensic psychiatrist within the NHS and has held senior leadership roles within the NHS. As an active academic working with a number of universities in the Northwest of England, Professor Nathan leads research with a particular focus on service delivery, clinical decision-making, and risk assessment and management. For the past 25 years Professor Nathan has regularly acted as an independent expert witness in a wide range of legal forums. More recently he has been involved in the public dissemination of forensic psychiatric topics, with the release of his book (Dangerous Minds: A Forensic Psychiatrist’s Quest to Understand Violence, 2021), publication of his work in The Guardian and The Spectator, and radio/TV documentary work.
